Mr Mark Shaw, Executive Vice President of Operations, said: "nex's
position as a major suburban mall well-connected by public transport makes
it an attractive venue, hence our significant investment at this location.
We are equipping five halls with 3D digital technology. There is no other
cinema with as many 3D halls in one location. To complement the strong
emphasis on technology, the new Shaw Theatres. design is clean and contemporary.
Our open-concept Box Office is designed to bring us closer to our patrons.
He added: When
designing Premiere Screen, we had a specific target audience in mind.
It is a segment yet to be targeted by any other players in the market.
It is a unique value proposition for residents of suburban areas who desire
added comfort while catching a movie.
Shaw Theatres nex will also feature a new and exciting in-cinema advertising
concept. There will be a Mega Canvas with Panasonic's 103-inch as the
centerpiece and 6 x 50-inch screens with living posters display,
The Mega Canvas has pixels that make up to more than 3 HD screens.
Mr Christopher Shaw, Executive Vice President of Film Distribution, shared:
The digital poster displays offer a novel way to publicise movies
and keep movie-goers excited on upcoming lineup. With 10 screens and five
with 3D technology, we will be able to bring in a greater variety of movies.
Patrons at nex will not only be able to watch blockbusters, but also selected
critically acclaimed titles.
