6. What time does your box office open?
The box office opens at 10 am in the morning.
7. Why are you revising your ticket prices?
Since 1st May 2007, we had held on to the previous ticket prices; even after our competitors have raised their ticket prices twice. Unfortunately, we can no longer hold back against the rising costs as we strive to offer our customers improved movie experiences.

The price structure for movie tickets have been adjusted due to the onslaught of rising business costs, goods, services, labour and film rentals.

Only standard tickets pricings at all our theatres are revised.

Digital 3D, LIDO IMAX® and Shaw Theatres premiere Student and Senior Citizen concession ticket prices, will remain unchanged. We continue to offer ongoing movie and credit card promotional packages and rates for all customers to benefit from.
8. Can I purchase tickets in advance at the box office?
You can purchase tickets at our box offices and online/mobile services, as long as the schedules are available.
9. Can I purchase movie tickets to any Shaw Theatres from Shaw Theatres Box Office?
Yes, you can purchase movie tickets to any Shaw Theatres (except Century).
10. What's the difference between Digital and non-digital movie releases?
All movies are currently released in the traditional 35mm film format in all the cinemas in Singapore and most parts of the world.

A digital movie release uses the latest in technology to showcase the movie in its purest form straight from the movie studios, preserving its picture clarity, brightness and sharpness. Giving movie goers one of the best experiences possible today.

Shaw Lido One is Singapore's largest digital cinema hall, with Lido 2 being the next largest in the cineplex.

Online Booking
1. How can I buy ticket(s) online?
Yes! You can now buy tickets online! Just use the 'Tickets & Showtimes' or 'Buy' buttons' option to buy.
2. Is there any credit card surcharge for online/mobile booking?
Yes. There is a Singapore One dollar charge per transaction on our online/mobile booking systems.
3. I would like to book for a movie but it is not available on your website yet. Why?
Generally, new movies are released on a Thursday and that is also when the new schedule is put up. We update our Saturday to Wednesday show times, every Friday noon and for Thursday to Friday show times by every Wednesday noon time.

Please do check our website for updates.

We try our best to have the movie schedules planned as far ahead as we can, to allow customers to do advance bookings.
4. Why aren't session times available sooner?
Session times are unable to be made public more than a few days in advance simply because there are too many variables.

The movie exhibition business is a constantly changing industry and factors such as release dates being constantly rescheduled, group bookings and preview screenings mean, we simply cannot provide this information in advance.

Negotiations with film distributors are lengthy and time consuming and are unfortunately often finalised only at the last minute.

5. How do I collect my tickets?
You can proceed to the box office of the cinema to collect the tickets with just your credit card or transaction number.

An email receipt will be sent to you, (as long as you provide a valid email account) within minutes.

You can also check details of your last ten bookings online after you log on to your account from the website.

Customers are advised to collect their tickets at the box office 15 to 30 minutes before the show starts.

6. Will my credit card still be charged if I did not collect the ticket(s) ?
Yes, you will still be charged through your credit card company.

No refund or cancellation is allowed for online/mobile bookings.

7. How safe is it for me to purchase ticket(s) online?
All booking pages in our website use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. This is the most popular security standard used on the internet. SSL encrypts data transferred between your PC and our web server and renders it unreadable to any person who might intercept it.
8. I made a online booking but I didn't receive a confirmation email. Is my transaction confirmed?
Please keep in mind email confirmation may not be instantaneous - a few minutes may pass between making an online booking and receiving your confirmation email. You may not have received an email if your email address was entered incorrectly. If you have not received an email confirmation within 30 minutes of making your booking, please use the check booking function on our Website, or visit Shaw Mobile (m.shaw.sg) on your mobile device to check your booking status.

Please also check your junk box folder in case the email was delivered there.

10. How do i check if my transaction is successful if i encountered any errors at the payment page?
You can check your transaction status here, or visit Shaw Mobile (m.shaw.sg) on your mobile device.
11. Why is the website so slow in loading during peak periods?
While we are constantly upgrading our hardware to serve you better, sometimes heavy traffic to our website during peak periods might cause the users experience on our website to deteriorate as the servers tried to cope with the extremely high traffic. We apologized for any inconvenience caused and seek your kind understanding and patience while surfing our website or making an online booking.
12. What is 3-D Secure and why is there a need for a One-Time Password (OTP) to complete an online payment?
3-D Secure (3DS) is an added layer of security for online credit and debit card transactions. When a Singapore cardholder makes a purchase at a merchant website that uses 3DS, the cardholder will be asked to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) delivered to his/her registered mobile device before the transaction can be completed.

3DS was developed by VISA to improve the security of Internet payments and offered to customers as the Verified by Visa (VbV) service. This protocol has also been adopted by MasterCard®, under the name of MasterCard® SecureCode, and JCB International as J/Secure.

The OTP helps to protect against online fraud. It is a secure way to authenticate that the customer making the online purchase is the rightful owner of the credit card being used.

Click here to find out more about the standard payment process.
13. Why do I need to include my Identification Card Number/ NRIC or passport number for online bookings?
Your Identification Card Number for buying tickets online is purely for tracking of transactions and is not used for any other purposes.

As people change emails and phone numbers, this has so far been the most reliable method. It's preferred over the storing your credit card details.

The NRIC, FIN, Passport number allows you to check and retrieve your bookings on the website and at the Box Office counter. It's only for emergency cases to trace your bookings and is stored securely.
